Who Can Trick Your Accountant?

The work of an accountant is very responsible, and it's no wonder – he has to deal with the great sums of money and all the accounts. A mistake can cost a lot, so this work needs accuracy and a lot of attention. Where the money is involved, there always will be attempts to cheat from the dishonest people. And those people can be not only inside your company, but also in the organizations with which you cooperate. There is, unfortunately, quite a common situation when people from outside try to trick even the best tax accountant and then accuse him in mischief. How can it happen?

  1. Connections with fake companies, that do not apply tax declarations when they ought to. This gives a ground for suspicions why would your company deal with such fakes, because the inspectors will get interested in all firms who dealt with them to find any clues they'll manage to. And the accountant will be the one who will have to take responsibility.
  2. Not enough attention to the companies with which you cooperate. This is the fault of your employees whose duty is to check thoroughly all the information about the companies to be sure they are loyal and safe to work with.
  3. The devil is in the details. Even in such little things like buying the pens for your office a lie can hide. All the cashflow management and all the stuff you buy must be checked and counted, because cashiers often increase the sum or the amount to make you pay more than it costs. They are counting on your accountant's inattentiveness so he shouldn't give them a slightest chance to trick your company.
